How to start a conversation:

If it's the first convo ever;
Introduce yourself
State a fact
Ask an open ended question
(This applies to social media mostly idk ppl irl, but view their profiles and pull something you notice like music they like, style, their pets, etc and mention it)

Example:
Hiii we haven't spoken yet, but I'm Poppy. I saw you're really into video games. What are your top 3 games rn?? cause the new monster hunter game releases next Friday and I could always use more people to play with.

If it's not the first;
Talk about some random shit that happened to you recently
Ask specific questions that will allow you to learn about who they are so you can relate to it and grow a conversation
Avoid yes/no questions
Avoid being overly sexual off the rip (depends on here i guess cause some models pretend to like that for the $)
Send a photo of an animal with a blurb about them, ppl mostly love animals
Avoid depressing topics or trauma dumping
Mention your likes/dislikes (like I don't like cucumbers but I'll fuck up a salad and eat the whole thing kinds vibe but word it into a real convo)
Be intentional don't just speak for the sake of speaking because the convo won't go anywhere

Ask me any questions if this doesn't make sense. Especially if youre cis men talking to someone your interested in knowing (as a friend/sub/romantic/etc) you have to carry the convo. You have to be the one to engage and keep it going. Make an effort. Humor goes a long way. Be personable. Don't be boring.
