Alright! Super update time! Let's go!! Last week on Friday, OnlyFans sent an email to creators about some changes to their ToS regarding sexually explicit content, basically masturbation and penetration. From October 1 on, this type of content would be prohibited from being uploaded, posted, published, promoted, advertised, etc on the site. By December 1, all of that type of content previously posted and whatnot would have to be deleted. Of course, they left out some information regarding what would happen to the sexually explicit content that was purchased, but at this point, does not matter. I'll tell you why in a bit. But these changes caused a huge panic from sex workers and their subscribers that led most of them that could to migrate to other subscription sites that allow sexually explicit content. This week on Wednesday, OnlyFans sent out yet another email to creators, saying that due to some "assurances" they will "suspend" the "October 1" changes. They never mentioned anything about the December 1 deadline or how long this suspension would last or if they're going to cancel these changes. So here's how I've been dealing with this whiplash lmao. Last Saturday, I sent out an hour-long video explaining the changes to the policy, my interpretation, raising questions, and what I planned to do about these changes (whether I change a couple things here or if I am to move to another site). I also mentioned that I wanted to take a week off some time in September to have time to finish researching all my options including competing sites, and that I'd have an answer for you guys by then of what we'd be doing moving forward. After the first announcement, I had thought to keep this account and use Dropbox and Many Vids links when it came to sending my sexually explicit trailers and videos. I figured it'd make things a bit inconvenient, but that we could all manage that. I didn't have a plan yet for live streams on my main account but that was in the works for finding a solution. Now, with OnlyFans "retracting" their original changes to policy and with their fancy vague wording, I have no choice but to continue as planned and do my own research before moving to a different site. I would still like to keep this account but I'd probably end up transferring all my content from here to a different site and transforming this into something else maybe. So I'm still moving forward with my week off in September to finish my research and get another site set up with my content. I'll update you all once I've finalized everything.
