Random science fact, there’s a gene that some people have that gives them protection against norovirus (the most common viral culprit that causes the stomach bug). I don’t know for certain but I suspect I am a lucky carrier if this gene because I rarely get it. I get just about every other head cold that goes around, I honestly don’t have that great of an immune system BUT I do somehow seem to get lucky with stomach ailments regardless of exposure. Isn’t that so cool there’s a gene that can somehow protect you from a virus? I mean it doesn’t give you complete immunity but it helps!
