So recently every time I've set up an appointment for a person to potentially adopt one of my many rescue horses, they are in their worst behavior! Last weekend someone came to see Legend and he bucked non stop as soon as they got on, which he's never done before. Cooper and Indy both went lame (started limping) the morning of their potential adoption visits! Shasta bit a person who was looking to adopt her as a therapy horse! I am beginning to suspect that they know exactly what's going on and that perhaps they never want to leave me... I am deeply grateful for each and every one of you supporting me here as every dollar goes directly to the Sanctuary and none of this could exist without you. It may seem like $5 and $20 here and there isn't much, but it really adds up, and funny enough, always in exact proportion to the cost of the Sanctuary. I made more money last year than I have in my whole life, and yet I start every single month back at $0 once the rent check clears. I have no savings, no valuable possessions, no stocks or whatever most adults do with their extra money. What I do have is a beautiful life with the animals and people I love most. We all thank you for this joyful experience made possible by you. I Shively hope that in return I offer you entertainment in an "uplifting" way... 😘😅 Enjoy! Love, Suzy

Aisha Daniels known on Instagram as @ ishadaniels_ you may know takes all my photographs. She is my best friend. She also trains the horses we rescue and helps raise money to keep the rescue g going as well as has 5 of the horses on her farm. Last night a terrible tragedy occurred. A tree fell and crushed her house and killed her son Aeon who would have been 3 on April 21st. The loss is such a shock we still can't believe it yet. Two more trees came down and crushed the horse fencing but the horses are ok. Some of you may be following Aisha on Instagram and may know her uncensored works are available on Patreonn look up isha Daniels patreon. We are not doing well at the moment. Aisha is so strong that she helped with the clean up today. It was like these giant redwoods exploded throwing millions on branches everywhere. It's not been a good 24 hours. I hope to get back to work Saturday as tomorrow will be another day of clean up and consoling. Aisha takes the best photographs in the world and she should be famous but she is a little shy about really putting her work out there. If you feel like doing a good deed you could at least message her and let her know that she is so incredibly talented that the photos look like Renaissance paintings. Shasta, my angel. She came to us in late July along with Tono, who has since found a loving forever home. Because Shasta has a physical disability, no one is interested in her. Horses are worth more than their ability to use for riding, they form close bonds with the people who care for them and provide so much love, joy and healing. We don't ride our cats and dogs, and yet we adore them and pay for their care. I hope to reframe the relationship between horses and humans, which for too long has been entirely one sided. Each and every one of us owe our lives and our modern day societies to horses. On the backs of horses we explored new lands, carried building materials, carved out roads and railways, tilled the lands making way for commercial agriculture, fought and won many wars throughout history, created transportation, the engines of which are still measured in "horse-power". Even vaccines were originally bred in the bellies of horses, which were forcefully infected with the disease they gave their lives to science just so we could have a chance at enhanced immunity. Thank you for helping me give these horses a better experience, as humans claim every inch of earth for their own uses, animals which once ran free, full of pride and self sufficiency, are now by force 100% dependent on humans. The tables have turned, and it is out turn to take care of these beautiful creatures which have given us all that we have today.
